DISCOVERY FESTIVAL OF SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, ENGINEERING AND MATH EXPECTED TO DRAW THOUSANDS OF STUDENTS   dentist Albuquerque

Honeywell, who took over the contract to manage Sandia Laboratories, along with several other organizations, is hosting a free, two-day Discovery Festival, promoting an interest in the Science Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) fields.

The Air Force Research Lab’s Spacecraft Robotics challenge will present competition between teams from throughout the southwest.  The teams will be able to obtain cash prizes and resume enhancements with their projects.  They will also provide an opportunity to watch and learn about aircraft drone capability in an enclosed drone cage. Participants will also have the opportunity to operate some of the drones.

The event will be held at the Albuquerque Convention Center on November 3-4,  and will offer hands-on experience in STEM projects to provide students with the opportunity to see how “cool” and fun work in these fields can be.
